Dear Parents,

Our eggs are doing well!  We have been candling them and we know that each of the eggs contains an embryo.  We have been able to see them moving inside the shell…pretty cool! Ask your child about what s/he saw.

This week I had to do some Unit Assessments in Reading. That is why many children did not have a book every night. Next week we will be right back on track with our Reading Baggies.

In math we finished up our Measurement Unit and Began Telling Time. It would be a great help of the students could practice telling time on a face clock at home!

On Wednesday, May 16, 2018, we will be doing a Family Literacy Night here at school. I would love to see as many first graders join us as possible.  We are keeping track of which class has the greatest participation rate. This should be a great night with lots of activities for all ages. Please come out and join the fun!

If you haven’t yet returned your Filed trip form for The Palace Theater on May 21st, please do so ASAP.

Many parents have asked about the Elementary Concert tonight. The K-3rd grades are not yet in the concerts…but I WILL BE!  I’m playing in the junior band to help out. I hope to see some of my kiddos in the audience!

Have a great weekend,
