November 3, 2017

Dear Parents,

Can you believe it is November already?  This year is flying by.  We had a wonderful week this week, even with the craziness of Halloween and “After-Halloween!!”  This class is coming along.  I believe that is largely due to your support at home.

The first marking period ended today.  I am finishing up quarterly assessments in ELA and Math for each student.  For that reason there were no Homework Baggies Wednesday and Thursday evening and will not be most nights next week. Please continue to work with your child nightly, even when there is no Homework Baggie.  You can practice spelling words (current and past weeks,) read with your child, do addition and subtraction facts, etc.

The weather is getting unpredictable. Make sure you check the weather before sending your child to school and send warm clothing if it’s going to be chilly.  We go out EVERYDAY for recess.

This weekend the high school students and I will be putting on a musical comedy called, Once Upon a Mattress. The show is Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 4pm.  We would love to see all of you there!  I have included one FREE ticket (green) in the folder for each first grader to attend if you would like to bring him or her.  Regular ticket prices are $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for students and senior citizens.

Don’t forget

  • There is no School Friday 11/10 due to Veterans Day
  • Thursday 11/9 is conference day…No school for K-6.
  • Veterans Day Chicken Dinner 11/11 here at school.

Have a nice weekend,

Andi Cammer
