Fall sports begins on August 21st for Varsity Athletes and August 28th for modified. Forms were mailed from school on July 20th and are due to Mrs. Cammer by tomorrow, August 8th. All paperwork is required to be approved by the school physician prior to participation. If paperwork is not returned in time, students may not be eligible to begin on the first day. If you did not receive paperwork, you can pick it up in the main office between 8:30 and 3:00pm or print it from the website. Any questions, please contact Mrs. Cammer by email.
Paperwork was mailed home last week to students who signed up for fall sports. Forms are due to the school by August 8th. Anyone interested in playing who did not sign up in June, may access the form on the JCS website under Athletics or can pick up forms in the main office between 8am-2pm.
The Minekill Swim Program will be returning to school at approximately 1:45 p.m. today, Monday, July 24th, due to the weather. Your child will need to be picked up at school around that time. Thank you!

This is a reminder that the the K-6 Moving Up Ceremony will be held at 8:45 a.m. and the 7-12 Awards will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2023, in the gymnasium. Dismissal will be at 11:00 a.m.

JCS .Summer CROP and the town swim program start July 5 and runs until July 31. CROP will be 8am to noon .This program is open to all JCS students ... Incoming kindergarteners up thru 8th grade The bus will pick up your child in the morning . If your child is signed up for swim the bus will take them to Minekill at 1145 ..and return them to the school at 4 . If your child is not signed up for swim they must be picked up at the school by 1130 . There is no bus transport home from either program unless swim is cancelled for bad weather then they will be bussed home at 1130 -1145. Any questions please let us know ... Reminders:
*No one other than paid attendees are permitted before 9:45pm
*Parents and others who wish to see the crowning may arrive no earlier
than 9:45pm.
*You are responsible for your own transportation to and from Prom.
*Please have rides arranged for departure ahead of time.
*You will be held accountable for any and all rules that were outlined in the
contract that was signed.
*Any substance use before or during the Prom will result in immediate
notification of parents and/or law enforcement and removal from
the event.
*You may not go to your vehicles during the evening at any time for any
reason.
Prom Court will be decided by paper ballot. Attendees will receive a ballot upon
arrival at the Bistro. Only JCS students may vote.
Tomorrow is our annual Community Service Day for 7-12. Many students will be outside for much of the day. We will provide water, and give them ample breaks from the sun. However, we are requesting that you encourage your child to bring sunscreen, a hat, and extra water of their own.
There will be no CROP tomorrow, June 2, 2023, due to Community Service Day.
The CROP summer program begins July 5 and runs through July 31. The CROP program runs in conjunction with the town's swim program at Minekill. Spots for both programs are filling up quickly so please send in your applications ASAP . If you need an application for either program, please stop by or call the office . Thank You!
Sports' Physicals are Tuesday, May 30th. NYSED requires that all 7-12 student-athletes have an updated sports' physical yearly. Permission slips are available with Mrs. Brandow or Mrs. Cammer and must be returned by Tuesday.
The time of tomorrow's (5/20) JCS Youth Soccer Game at Margaretville will begin at 9:00 a.m. Please arrive early to warm up.
